Okay, I've had this current avatar (made by `Tyrin-Claw ) for lord only knows how long. I've noticed a lot of people that I've been watching have been changing their avatars to new things. So I've been idly thinking of getting a new avatar. Problem is, I don't have a good one to change to, and I don't have the money to commission an avatarist.

So I thought I'd do something I haven't seen done before. I'm gonna make a public trade offer. I'm not asking for anyone specific to do this, nor am I pressuring anyone to do this. It's just something that any of my watchers who feel like taking up the trade could do for the fun of it.

But this isn't a straight-up request. I'd feel waaaaaay way too selfish if I did that (plus, my conscience wouldn't give me the light of day). So, here's what I'll do. I'm willing to do a small trade for it. A personalized poem or anecdote (short piece of prose) for the avatar. You choose whichever you want, and it might help my creativity along if you offer some subject ideas as well. Keep in mind the poem or anecdote is gonna be fairly short and sweet, so rather involved subjects wouldn't be a good idea.

That's what I'm offering for my end of the deal. Here's what I'm looking for from your end of the deal:

An avatar, 100x100 pixel, in JPG or PNG format (formats most often used as avatars), that more or less is a representation of the dragonme. It can be animated or not; preferably not since I intend to use the avatar for more than just deviantART, and I don't know if Skype or WLM like animated avatars (What? You weren't expecting your work to be displayed in more than one place, were you? ).

And for those of you who don't know what the dragonme looks like, well, question answered:


Now, I've already used avatars that I derived from that drawing ~felineflames made and also from `Tyrin-Claw, so I hate to say this, but you two are already disqualified for the trade.

Anyways, I'm not too terribly picky, and I'm not restricting the number of people who can ask to trade. The more people willing to make an avatar for a li'l poem or anecdote with their name on it, the longer it'll be before I'll have to worry about acquiring a new avatar.

But if I get swamped with people wanting to trade, then it might be a bit before I can post up my halves. It'll be a first come first serve basis. Just remember that, for those of you who are impatient.

Anyways, it's 12:30 in the AM and I gotta wake up at 7:45 later this morn to retrieve my misplaced jump drive... and to start what is sure to be a hell of a loooooong day.

I noticed that I received several comments from people wanting to give making an avatar a shot, but none of them stated whether or not they wanted a story or anecdote in return.

If I'm not told which to write (or if I need to write at all since the trade can be optional--it's just giving me reasons to want to post new stuff to my gallery ), then I won't know what to write at all.
