I'll try to pick a new feature every once in a while. It can be anything from something that's in my favorites to some random deviation I found that I liked or maybe just something else.

In light of the recent Virginia Tech shootings (yes, I feel sorry for those who lost their lives, but I'm not much on giving or taking sympathy, so don't expect me to do much more than a consoling hug), and a very very recent idea for a realistic fiction story, and a debate with my mom about this, I thought that I would say this now. Yes, this journal will be linked to in future journals, and yes, this journal is for the prying future boss/professor/superior/etc. to verify that I'm not a nutcase-to-be. I can reassure y'all that I am indeed perfectly sane. It is normal for a human being (or in my case, a dragonspirit as well) to have emotional fluctuations. It's healthy, normal brain function. Besides, I like being unafraid to cry in front of people... or laugh... or get pissed off... or joke around. Just means that it's harder for me to lie to someone if they know me well enough.

Anyway, I'm getting sidetracked from what I intend to do here.
When I write, it depends on what I am writing that will determine how one should judge my character. The story that I want to write is kinda... well... there's blood in it and someone dies, but to me, it's just a story. That's all it is. It's just like
Scenic View. All I wanted to do was write out a story for readers to enjoy, and that just happened to be the idea that quite literally hit me like a fully loaded commuter train (hint hint wink wink

).
For me, stories are my creative outlet. I absolutely LOVE a good story.
Along Came a Spider--part of the detective Cross series (only saw the movie with Morgan Freeman, who I absolutely loooove!!

)--is one such good story.
Animal Farm was another. So, it's obvious that I would love to write stories. To me, they're just fun. They're personal entertainment. Writing is one of the few things I can do well that I actually, thoroughly, enjoy. I can easily pass an entire day with a good story concept, plenty of notes, and mah li'l lappie!

I hate the thing since it's older than the hills (to today's standards), but it's been reasonably dependable since I first got it.

And, yes, I'm getting into it a bit with this here journal.
If I want to express who I am, and what emotions I am experiencing, I would do it through poetry. Its inherent rawness and simplicity is the perfect vessel for personal expression. My mood reflects the kind of poem I write. A bad mood results in a dark poem. A good mood makes a jolly happy yayness poem. (see
Classified Ad for a particularly entertaining example) A pensieve mood makes a thoughtful, observant, or otherwise poem that is kinda... well... penseive.

My most recent one,
Bell South, is a prime example of this.
So, let me restate what I just said without all the artistic frills (and for those of you that skim over these damn journals just to try and find the basic point XD):
stories = fun, regardless of genre and/or content
poems = usually (but not always) emotive outlet--------------------------------------------------------------------
«NOTICES»
I have mp3 recordings of various short tunes that feature me on clarinet. If you are interested in receiving them, send me an e-mail. The address is in my profile on my userpage. Please make sure that the words "clarinet recordings" are somewhere in the topic.
